We just completed our first badge (yea!) Girl's completed the following list of swimming tasks to earn their swimming badge:
- Watch a water safety video
- Recall three water safety tips
- Wear a PFD and pull someone out of the water with it
- Treadwater for 1 minute
- Cooperate with someone trying to rescue you
- Rescue someone without getting in the pool
- Come up with a buddy check call and practice use it
- Glide Swim
- Kick Swim
- Crawl Swim
- Back Stroke
- Side Stroke
- Jump in the water
- Bring something up from the bottom of the pool
- Dive in the pool (if safe)
- Move in the water like an animal
Good job girls (and thanks to the parent volunteers who helped us out!).
Destini had so much fun and we are proud of her and all of the girls!

ReplyDeleteI do have more pictures and can't wait to get them online! First I have to get permission from parents (I meant to get permission slips out last Friday but they will definitely go out this Friday). I picked the above picture because you couldn't see any faces :)
